BBP is a duo specializing in intense bass heavy dance music that spans the genres of EDM, blending live instruments with samples and original productions in a way that allows for real improvisation and unrehearsed moments of creativity and spontaneity. Since their live debut in April 2009 BBP has played shows with Ott, Bluetech, Heyoka, Mount Kimbie, Jazzsteppa, Vibesquad, R/D, Eskmo, RAQ, Telepath, Pnuma Trio, Mary Anne Hobbs, Lorn, Mike Slott, Big Gigantic, Marco Benevento Trio, Eliot Lipp, The Great Mundane, Emancipator, Blockhead, Psylab, Biodiesel, Jeff Bujak, Zebbler Encanti Experience, Afro Monk, Superfiction, and many more, as well as delivering memorable late night sets at underground afterparties for acts like STS9, The Disco Biscuits and Shpongle. BBP also helps curate and holds residency at Music Ecology, every Tuesday at Wonder Bar in Allston, MA. Music Ecology has been bringing live original electronic dance music to Boston for over a year now. Since the first Music Ecology (held downstairs at Wonder Bar in July 2009) the night has moved to the spacious upstairs at Wonder Bar, and developed a loyal following by bringing quality EDM every Tuesday and facilitating the Boston (and sometimes US) debuts of national/international acts like Jazzsteppa, Debruit, Heyoka, Mount Kimbie, Chronicles of the Landsquid, and more, as well as providing an outlet for creative and talented local musicians, producers, and artists to share their work with an open minded and vibrant community in Boston.
