What a ridiculous couple of weeks it’s been. I’ve had so many events to post about (missed a couple) that I’ve barely had time to focus on the whole point of this blog.. the MUSIC. So lets get back to it shall we?
Today we’re featuring a relatively unknown who resides in the filthy FILTHY wing of the dubstep world named Downlink, who has been quietly shaking up the genre of filth dub with new and progressive sounds. Residing on Rottun Records at the moment, Downlink has worked with some of the biggest names in the genre right now like Excision and Datsik, and is continuing to blow peoples minds left and right.
Most recently, Downlink released a crazy remix of Excision and Datsik’s grimy dubstep anthem Swagga, which has been getting play almost everywhere that dubstep is getting play for a good while now. A quality remix, that although probably will not gain the popularity of the original, definitely presents another head banger flavor to the tune, while still preserving its original awesomeness (for lack of a better word).
